I have worked nationally as a national matron and a Regional Director of Nursing and Clinical Services covering a number of hospitals in the Midlands and the south-west of England. I have been a Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspector. My experience also includes serving as an expert witness in one of the UK’s most high-profile breast surgery cases. This role drew on my in-depth clinical knowledge and leadership skills. It strengthened my belief in the importance of safe, compassionate and accountable care.
